Play-based Learning
The 3 to 4 year old students will get to experience the power of play-based learning. Play-based learning cultivates a child's natural curiosity and love for exploration.Themed activities have been carefully curated for the students to explore the basics of letters, numbers, music, seasons, holidays, and more.
Social and emotional skills
Social and emotional skills development plays a vital role in early childhood education. At Calvert Nursery School, we provide a nurturing environment where children learn to navigate and understand their emotions, as well as develop positive relationships with their peers. Through various activities such as group games, sharing circles, and role-playing scenarios, we help our young students build empathy, communication skills, and conflict resolution strategies. These fundamental skills not only support their current social interactions but also lay the foundation for future success in school and beyond.
Motor Skill Development
At Calvert Nursery School, students will have the opportunity to enhance their gross- and fine-motor skills and abilities. Our experienced teachers will lead engaging and enjoyable activities including playdough, snapping cubes, and sensory bins, that are designed to promote growth and development in these areas.
Engage their
growing curiosity
The program for three-year-olds is designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn to participate effectively within a social group. This is done through a combination of free play, small group, and whole group interactions where children explore a multitude of basic preschool concepts. Awareness of the community is also emphasized by way of classroom guests.
