Registration and Admission

Registration opens February 1st.

Calvert Nursery School is committed to making its programs and activities available to all interested families.

To enroll a child at Calvert Nursery School an application must be filled out and a $50 non-refundable application fee must be given to the Membership Chairperson. The Membership Chairperson will then hold a space for that child but a morning/afternoon designation cannot be confirmed until later in the year.  An email will be sent out in July that contains information on the important health forms that you must fill out along with your child's physician. These forms can be accessed in the Forms tab. Failure to complete and turn in these forms by the first day of school will be grounds for dismissal of the child.


Enrollment is offered on a first come, first served basis to all children who meet the following criteria:

  • The child must be toilet trained.

  • The child must be 3 years of age by September 1st of the current school year to be considered for the 3-year-old class.

  • The child must be 4 years of age by September 1st of the current school year to be considered for the 4-year-old class.

  • The child must have on file with the school all of the required forms. Please see the Forms tab for more information.

  • A parent or guardian must attend the Orientation meeting held in late August/early September.

Admissions preference is given to currently enrolled families and then alumni families. Remaining openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Once classes are full, remaining families will be place on a waitlist and will be contacted as openings become available throughout the summer and early fall. Prospective members are encouraged to attend our Open House events or schedule a tour.
